If you use your spa though the winter you have to treat it differently when it gets cold in order to preserve optimum conditions. Here are a few steps to winter spa use:
1. Check your Spa cover
Make sure the cover isn’t ripped or torn. If you notice signs of fading or cracking, get a replacement cover for your spa. Also make sure the seal is still tight and effectively keeps the heat in.
2. Thermal blanket
This additional layer can increase your spa’s performance. A quality blanket for your spa will help you maximize energy efficiency by keeping the heat more contained.
3. pH and sanitization
Water chemistry is always very important. During the winter months your skin can me more sensitive to improper chemical balances. Make sure to balance properly.
